StreamAuditX for OBS
It reads your OBS setup live while you stream and tells you, in clear everyday language, what is wrong and how to fix it. When OBS crashes it opens the crash report and names exactly what took it down. It is read-only: it looks and explains, it never changes anything on your setup.

Install it in about a minute
- Download the script above and save it somewhere you will keep it (it stays on disk).
- In OBS, open Tools then Scripts, press +, and pick streamauditx.lua.
- Click Open StreamAuditX in the script panel. It opens in your browser and starts reading right away.
- Optional: to keep it inside OBS, go to View then Docks then Custom Browser Docks, name it StreamAuditX, and paste the URL shown in the script panel.
How to use it
Once it is open it re-scans your scenes, sources, settings and last session every few seconds. You read it top to bottom.
1
Two health scores at the top
Config health is how your setup is put together (the things you can fix any time).
Stream performance is how your last session actually ran (dropped frames, encoder load). They are
scored separately on purpose, a perfect config can still have a rough stream, and the other way around.
2
A list of findings, worst first
Each finding tells you what is wrong, why you would care,
and the exact click-path to fix it (which menu, which checkbox). They are ranked Critical, then Warning,
then Tip, so the thing most worth your time is at the top. Anything healthy is tucked away so the list stays short.
3
Nothing changes unless you do it
StreamAuditX only reads and explains. It points you at the exact setting to change; you make
the change yourself in OBS. Some findings have a Show me where that jumps you straight to the source
or scene it is talking about.
4
Live PC health while you stream
A meter tracks CPU, GPU, temperature and dropped frames as you go, and a small history
builds up over your sessions so you can see whether a problem is getting worse or was a one-off.
5
Want a deeper read? Expert Read
The free dock covers the everyday checks. For a hard problem, Expert Read sends a
snapshot in for a full write-up that reads across your setup and your recent streams together. It costs
StrmrX credits (you buy your own, a single read is a few cents of credit) and you are told the price before it runs.
Some of what it catches
Crashes, named. Opens the crash report OBS leaves behind and names the cause: a webcam or capture card, a graphics driver, a browser overlay, or a specific plugin, and whether it happened while you were live.
Dead sources. An image or media source pointing at a file that is gone, a camera added twice, a capture that lost its window and is feeding black.
Audio traps. Desktop audio captured twice (echo or double volume), "Monitor and Output" monitoring, sample-rate mismatches.
Encoding trouble. "Encoding overloaded" with the real remedy, NVENC failing to open, CPU encoding when your GPU could do it, keyframe and bitrate settings that fight your platform.
Quiet waste. Hidden browser sources running Chrome 24/7, 60 fps overlays that do not need it, Studio Mode left on (double render), oversized images.
Your PC under load. Sustained CPU or GPU saturation, thermal throttling, and the three kinds of dropped frames, tied back to what caused them.

Free, read-only, and it works even if you have no NVIDIA card, no Streamer.bot, and no plugins.
